What is Band Family Tree Classifieds?

Band Family Tree classifieds is a listing of advertisements related to the music industry and is split into 2 sections.

Instruments/Gear For Sale and Wanted.
Musicians Available and Wanted.

Both these sections have a search facility where users can use selection boxes to define exactly what they are looking for e.g. you can define a search to look for 'Gibson Guitars For Sale in Canada' or 'Guitarists Wanted in Australia'. Upon selecting an advertisement from either list this advertisement can be 'clicked on' to give further details about that advertisement and also a facility to contact the person who has submitted the advertisement.

Can anyone view these advertisements?

Any user of the website can view all of the advertisements.

Can anyone post an advertisement?

To post an advertisement a user must first be a Registered Member - this is a FREE registration and allows users to enter their playing details and also to use the music forum
To post an advertisement the user must then become a Full Member.
You have to be a Registered Member in order to become a Full Member.

What kind of Adverts can I post as a Full Member?

As a Full Member you are allowed to post 1 advert in each section i.e. you can post 1 advert in the Instruments For Sale / Wanted and 1 advert in the Musicians Wanted / Available section. You are given the facility to add, delete or edit your advertisements at any time so for example it is possible to post an advert in the instruments For Sale and if desired you can change that advert every day.
If the advert is not changed within 90 days of insertion it will be deleted.

How much will it cost me to run adverts?

There is an annual fee of Ł10. UK Sterling or $15 U.S or 15 Euros to become a Full Member. For this fee you can have 2 adverts running all year which you are able to change any time you wish.

If I want extra adverts how much does this cost.

If you wish to run more than the standard 1 advert in each section there is a extra charge of Ł5 UK Sterling or $7.50 U.S. or 7.50 Euros per extra advert.

Why is posting adverts not FREE

We can only do so much for FREE. We do intent to be around for a long time on behalf of musicians and unfortunately it is a fact of life that we do incur costs of our own and somehow these have got to be paid for. We do believe that our low fee for 1 years worldwide advertising is not unrealistic and we also believe that by charging a small fee we will deter the people who are not serious with their advertising thus making our classifieds section a very useful resource for musicians of all levels. We do in the future also intent to add extra features for people with Full Membership.

Are there any restrictions on the adverts I can place?

The advertisements placed must relate to the sections they are placed in and must be related to the music industry. If there is any abuse of the website that user abusing the website will have their rights to post any information onto the website taken from them without refund. Band Family Tree will have the final say on what is considered abusive or not relative to the website or that particular section. Read our Terms and Conditions if you are not certain about your rights. If you are still not sure after reading the Terms and Conditions about your rights then please contact us with your query.
